In August 2024, Nixon Marine Global purchased the Spiroll range of Chafe Protectors, uniquely designed to wrap around the lines several times without the need to fasten or tie the Chafe Guard in place.
The robust material is much more resilient than other softer versions and can withstand sunlight without staining or marking the deck.
Since the acquisition, the team at Spiroll has been busy developing new designs to complement the current range. Three new product groups will be launched in July. We recently opened a new design center, specifically for product and materials development.
Anti-Wear Patches: Using our trusted materials, we have developed a range of self-adhesive VHB-backed anti-wear patches. These patches come in two standard sizes (8x2 and 8x4) and can be adhered to the gelcoat in an area that is subject to wear or heavy use. Custom sizes and logos will be available upon request. Initially available in black or orange, we will expand the color options later in the year.
Fender Hangers: Our fender hangers are designed to provide simple and effective placement of fenders by hanging over the rail while protecting the surface with our polyurethane material. A cam cleat allows for quick adjustment, keeping the fender line in place without retying every time.
Kevlar Lanyards: These are the strongest lanyards, designed for use by Special Forces for firearm retention. The high load capacity and marine-grade materials ensure that whatever equipment is connected will remain in place. They are available with carabiner or screw clip ends.
Our Chafe Protectors will expand later in the year to include more colors and sizes, with logo options available upon request.
