A Tale of Two Streets
These shopping hotspots are both located in Naples, but feel worlds apart
Tin City
Tucked along the Gordon River in the heart of Naples, Tin City is a charming throwback to Old Florida—and a must-stop destination for boaters cruising the Gulf Coast. Once a 1920s working dock and clam shelling hub, this waterfront spot has been reimagined as a funky, nostalgic shopping and dining village, with tin-roofed buildings that honor its rustic roots. Even after hit by hurricanes the City is back and better than ever.
Today, Tin City is home to more than 30 locally-owned boutiques, authentic eateries, and waterfront bars, all within steps of the marina. The vibe is relaxed, quirky, and refreshingly unpolished—perfect for a salty break from Naples’ glossier downtown scene.
Dock your boat right at the marina and step into a colorful maze of shops and waterfront dining. No long walks, no pretension—just good vibes and Gulf breezes. The adjacent Naples City Dock and Tin City Marina make it easy for boaters to gas up or grab supplies. Grab a grouper sandwich or local craft beer at Pinchers, or settle into Riverwalk at Tin City, where you can sip margaritas and watch boats drift by on the Gordon River.
Shop everything from nautical knick-knacks and tropical wear to homemade fudge and hot sauces. This is your go-to spot for last-minute gifts or quirky coastal finds. Tin City is also a launch point for sightseeing cruises, sunset sails, and deep-sea fishing trips. Tour operators like Pure Florida offer dolphin cruises, jet boat tours, and charters for every level of adventure. You can even rent a boat here and chart your own course through Naples Bay and beyond.
Tin City offers boaters the perfect mix of convenience, character, and classic Florida charm. Whether you’re docking for lunch, loading up on gifts, or setting sail on an afternoon cruise, it’s one of those Gulf Coast spots where you’ll want to linger just a little longer.
Fifth Avenue South
More than 3.8 million visits annually. Ranked the No. 1 shopping district in Collier County, No. 3 in the state of Florida, and 47th nationally. It has been over 100 years that this historic avenue has stood, and now with over 250 businesses, it is so much more than a street. Fifth Avenue South is a metropolis within five miles, boasting art galleries, boutiques, fine dining and craft cocktail bars, ice cream shops, live theater, and more, situated just so between Naples Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.
Iconic brands have made a home here in this area of Naples, from luxury brands like Porsche and real estate offices from Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices and Sotheby’s International. Some businesses that began in Florida have also found a home like Naples Soap Company. Launching in 2009, at first just a store back in Tin City, the company has now grown into 13 different retail locations in Florida.
Find your new wall piece at Art on Fifth Avenue Naples, or step into some new kicks found at Bob Baker Shoes. Make the keepsakes last beyond the physical by taking in a show at Kizzie Theater. The Naples Players will be showcasing an Agatha Christie’ themed who-dunnit performance called “And Then There Were None,” as well as “Ada and the Engine” in October—not to mention “Little Women the Musical” to finish out 2025. There is nearly a never-ending supply of things to do and keepsakes to bring home.
