The New and Improved ePropulsion eLite —The Electric Engine Making Big Waves in the Small Boat Market

By Jordan Balbresky

When ePropulsion, a global leader in marine electric propulsion systems and services, launched its eLite electric outboard motor, industry experts and journalists were impressed. New for this year, ePropulsion is building on this success with the eLite Long Shaft. Perfect for drift boats and inflatable fishing boats with transoms over 15 inches, the eLite Long Shaft is designed to be the most compact and lightweight electric outboard in its class. The ePropulsion eLite 500W electric outboard is an easy-to-use alternative to small internal combustion engines. It has even more flexibility, an upgraded bracket mechanism, and the bracket is more durable and easier to use.

If you want a reliable motor for your inflatable fishing boat, kayak, or tender, the perfect engine should be lightweight, easy to take on and off, and provide the range and speed for any condition. The eLite’s direct-drive motor and advanced design propeller deliver high efficiency with near-silent operation. With a focus on minimal maintenance and cutting-edge technology, this addition raises the bar in electric boating standards.

Packing plenty of power, the eLite has a Sport mode, which adds a 50% boost in power for challenging conditions, bringing the top speed to over five miles per hour. With multiple charging options, including 110/220V AC, 12V DC, and solar with optional ePropulsion converters, it can be fully charged in four hours. For added capability and convenience, the eLite includes a USB-C output that allows users to charge and power other electrical devices.

The eLite joins ePropulsion’s full lineup of established and proven electric outboards, including the 1kW Spirit 1.0 Plus and 1.0 Evo, the 3- or 6kW Navy, the 12- 20- or 40kW X-Series outboards or I-Series inboard motors. In addition, ePropulsion has a full slate of accessories. If you’re looking to switch over your dinghy, small fishing boat, kayak, or standup paddleboard to quiet, clean, and efficient electric propulsion, the eLite may be right for you.
